SWISSVAX – Handbook
VIII.2 The third Element – Nano Express
VIII.3 The missing Element – Interior
VII.1 FABRIC TOPS
FABRIC
Fabric tops
Fabric tops do not need a complete clean every time the car is washed – on the contrary. And when cleaning a fabric roof, never use washing detergents or other cleaning agents developed for kitchen or bathroom because these will leach the rubber and the waterproofing of the roof. Therefore, to clean and take care for your vehicle’s fabric top please only use specially designed and tested products for this particular purpose, such as Swissvax Fabric.
HOW TO USE FABRIC Textile Cleaner
1. Fill a Swissvax Mixing Bottle with carbonated mineral water up to the «1:2» mark.
2. Add Swissvax Fabric concentrate up to the «1:3» mark.
3. Gently tilt the Mixing Bottle (do not shake it).
4. Spray the Swissvax Fabric solution evenly over the area you are treating and use a Swissvax Cleaning Brush to brush out the fabric along the grain.
5. Rinse the top down with copious amounts of fresh water and allow to dry.
6. Re-impregnate the fabric top with professional Swissvax Lotos protectant.

VII.2 VINYL TOPS
VINYL CLEAN AND PROTECTON
Compared with their fabric counterparts, vinyl tops are less susceptible to bleach out and gathering dust. If necessary, cars with vinyl roofs can be washed in an automatic car wash, provided that the top has a glass rear window. Light-coloured roofs in particular should be cleaned every week in order to ensure that dirt has no chance to build up. It is important not to use alkaline-based cleaning agents for this purpose, as they weaken and ultimately break the special adhesives used to waterproof the top’s seams. We recommend that you use Swissvax Vinyl Clean, together with a Swissvax Cleaning Brush and a Swissvax MicroWash microfibre cloth (yellow).
HOW TO USE PROTECTON Vinyl and Plastic Care
1. Wash and clean the top.
2. Apply Protecton evenly with a dry Swissvax-cloth or a Swissvax Wax Applicator (black), pressing firmly.
3. Allow to work in for 20 minutes.
4. Buff the surface, using a clean Swissvax Cloth and applying gentle pressure.
